Privacy notice

What we collect

• Your email address (required).
• Your first name and the area you most want to work on, if you choose to share them.
• Whether you opted in to broader updates, and when you consented.
• How you found us: the page that referred you and any campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters).
• A one-way, salted hash of your IP address, used only to stop automated spam and deleted after 24 hours. We don’t store your IP address itself.

Why we collect it

To tell you when the founding journey opens and to ask your views as we build it. If you tick the optional box, we’ll also send occasional stories and updates. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe.

We don’t sell, rent or trade your details, and we don’t use them for advertising profiles.

Where it’s stored

The list is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon, and this website is hosted by Vercel. These providers may store or process data outside Australia. Access is limited to the Forged from Stone team. If we start using an email service to send updates, we’ll name it here first.

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct your details, withdraw consent, or have them deleted at any time. You don’t have to give us your name to join the list.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and send emails in line with the Spam Act 2003. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, contact us first; you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
